The IHPA is without a doubt not the place in which there is any fat to be trimmed; however, as Musgrave sadly notes, the budget cuts are expected. <br /><br />This means that people who desire to preserve their state, regional and local history must act outside of poorly funded government agencies. <br /><br />One relatively simple and powerful action that results in community awareness and pride in its history is through publication of its stories.<br /><br />The History Press is a small, but traditional, full-service press that focuses exclusively on publishing works of local and regional interest.
