Jon,
Liked your post in Illinoize yesterday.

I wish to do some studying up on the Chiniquy Schism in Kanakee County circa 1848.

I have read an unpublished doctoral dissertation by a man named Barrett - he may have been a Cleric of Viator - very good but wholly slanted against Charles Chiniquy.

This is the only case of schism in the American Catholic Church and i thought that there would be more material available.

Thank you,

Pat Hickey

Jon,

Just got back from the xmas potluck at the presidential library. Richard Norton Smith said he would like to meet you to discuss your Abe Lincoln book.
